CLARE HUMPREYS - "Hotel Desk Clerk / Waitress"
 |
Clare is a member of Cranbourne Amateur Dramatic
Society (CADS) and lives in nearby Woodside. She joined CADS in 2001 and played
the part of Margaret in Murder in Company which was ably directed by FJT
Chairman, Una Faithfull. This part came after 17 years of Clare promising
herself to "do some am-dram". Previously, her roles had been in school
productions and at university.
"I'm beginning to wonder if they're
trying to tell me something." she says, "At school (all girls) I played the
part of Percival Brown in The Boyfriend, then at university I took the role of
Rosalind in As You Like It and she indulges in a fair bit of cross-dressing and
now, in Comic Potential, I am playing a part originally written for a man!
Perhaps I should just audition for male roles in the future!!"
Clare
says she was thrilled to be offered a part in the FJT production and hopes they
don't regret their choice! |
