LOUISE SINNETT - "Girl"
 |
Louise joined CATS to play the good witch Glinda in "The
Wizard of Oz," and the performance was kept secret from her mother which made
it a wonderful surprise! Louise then kept hold of the acting bug and performed
in the "Farndale...Macbeth" where she spent the performance being pushed around
in a wheelchair. Not her own injury though - the play required it!
She
then played another 'good' character in "Daisy Pulls it Off" where she was
Clare Beaumont, head-girl of Grangewood School, who was also a bit younger than
she was! A big plus, although the hockey scene still fills her with dread. Then
Louise decided that being 'good' was boring and that she would scare her
children - and the audience - and she played the high-heeled, fur coated
schemeing Queen Rat in "Dick Whittington."
So far, of her two children,
only daughter Rebecca has joined Louise on stage in both "Dracula" and "Out of
Focus." Louise has also assistant directed "Fish out of Water" and went on to
perform in Peter Gordon's "Out of Focus." Playing the role of Sue Dixon she
also had to kiss one of her co-stars, something she isn't particularly fond of!
She was in "Dracula" as one of the brides, with a wig resembling Tina Turner!
But then she has swapped pantomime's big hair for the 1930's glamour in
"Murdered to Death" where she played Elizabeth Hartley-Trumpington, the
beautiful young socialite. |
