COMIC POTENTIAL by Alan Ayckbourn

I am delighted to have been chosen by the Committee of "Forest Jubilee Theatre" as director of their Production at South Hill Park in Mid-November. This play will be "Comic Potential", by Alan Ayckbourn - his most recently released play.

This is a very funny and clever comedy, set in the near future when robot actors ("actoids") emotionally programmed by the control room, have replaced human actors in the production of cheap daytime TV soap opera. The fun starts when one actoid, JCF3133, spontaneously starts displaying emotions of her own, complete with a sense of humour, and Adam, an aspiring script-writer falls for her with hilarious and dramatic results.
